Free Entertainment All Summer Long at Earl Bales Park


The City of Toronto will present free musical and theatrical performances throughout the summer at the Barry Zukerman Amphitheatre in Earl Bales Park, 4169 Bathurst St.


The weekly Tuesday Night Live series features various musical genres. Performances run from 7 to 8 p.m.

July 3
Russian Folk Choir
Colourful costumes,Russian folk music and dance
July 10
Megacity Big Band
An 18 piece jazz orchestra performing big band music of the 30s and 40s as well as modern works in swing style
July 17
North York Concert Band
Music from pop to light classics, featuring Canadian Composers
July 24
Danny’s 11
A 9 piece jazz/swing band with two vocalists
July 31
Sweetie Pies and Baby Cakes
Exciting hip hop dance group bringing their grace and dance style to the stage.
August 7
Toronto Saxophone Quartet
Featuring classical, opera, jazz, ragtime, Broadway, movie and folk music.
August 14
The Royal Canadian Legion Concert Band
Branch 344 – 35 musicians with utes, clarinets, tubas and percussion featuring Broadway, marching, jazz and concert music.
August 21
Casablanca Orchestra
Playing Broadway show tunes and great hits from the 30s to the 90s as only a big band can.
August 28
Shul of Rock
Playing dynamic rock and roll Jewish music.

As part of the Family Fun Theatre series, held every second Thursday evening, parents and children can join in free, family-friendly activities that begin at 5:30 p.m. Stage performances run from 7 to 8 p.m. on July 12, July 26 and August 9. On August 23, family activities begin at 8 p.m. and a movie will be screened outdoors starting at 9 p.m.
