The City’s two ski and snowboard centres located at Earl Bales Park and Centennial Park are currently closed due to unseasonably mild temperatures which are not favourable for snowmaking. Programs between December 27 and 30 have been cancelled, staff have notified program participants, and refunds, credits and transfers are being made where applicable. The next critical date for decision making that may impact the programs and services beginning January 3 will be made on Wednesday December 28. Presently, up to date information is available at www.toronto.ca/parks.
Throughout the holiday season all outdoor ice rinks are open for skating daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Schedules vary by location throughout the holidays and rink buildings will operate on a reduced schedule December 24 to 26 and January 1 to 2. Indoor arenas offer a variety of programs including leisure skate and shinny hockey. Up to date information will be available at www.toronto.ca/skate.
