The dogs’ off-leash zone in G. Ross Lord Park is now open. Located at south side of the park entrance, this fantastic new facility includes includes a small trail and is located next to parking lot.  This area is just under 1 acre in size. View a map of the off-leash zone here.

This off-leash zone joins the one we recently opened in Earl Bales Park as great community assets. It accommodates the needs of dog owners and their pets while at the same time ensuring that the rest of the park remains on-leash.

We worked with city staff and the local community throughout the winter to ensure we had the best site option and design possible. This was based on local geography and budgetary restrictions. We have tried to incorporate a wide range of opinions into the final construction. Everyone is to be congratulated for their input and work on this project.
