Twenty residents of the Bernard Betel Centre, volunteers and community organizers came to City Hall to show their support for bringing back the Bathurst-Finch Community Bus.

I joined them in speaking at the Planning and Growth Management Committee meeting about the need to bring this community bus back and the positive impact it would have, especially to seniors. The re-instatement of the Bathurst Finch Community Bus would enhance the quality of life for seniors and others in the community. Wheel-Trans operates Community Bus routes in neighbourhoods with a high density of seniors, medical facilities, community facilities and shopping centres.

The item will now be looked at by the TTC.
